There are a variety of reasons people come to therapy. Some people just need a little clarity on an issue or to talk through a problem, so doing therapy can give you a different perspective. Some people are suffering, and they know exactly where the problem started and others have been struggling with various symptoms of stress and don’t really know why. In my experience, and in many of these cases it’s not “what’s wrong with you,” but “what happened to you.” Life and it’s stress can hit you hard or it can silently pile up until it becomes unmanageable.
If you have been avoiding situations, having problems sleeping, self-medicating, struggling with intrusive thoughts, or have lost interest in things you use to enjoy, I am more then confident I can help. Therapy can help to uncover the underlying causes of your worries and fears, manage stress, improve resilience, and learn better coping and problem-solving.
When it comes to working through any of the issues that I have shared, research shows that therapy is usually the most effective option. You got this far. Take the next step. Give me a call or send me an email.
